'MOON-O!' Supermoon
'MOON-O!' Supermoon, Largest and Brightest full moon of the year , appeared Saturday (U.S. time), here photographed in Spain, coinciding with Cinco de Mayo celebration of Latin America (thus the term"Cinco de Mayo Moon-O!") It reached its climax at 11:35 p.m. when the full moon's peak coincided with its closest approach in 2012 to earth's orbit (221,802 miles from earth).
